Kiyojute Ryu Kempo Bugei is made up of the following martial arts; Kempo, Karate, Karatejutsu, Toidejutsu, Jujutsu, Aikijujutsu, Ninjutsu, Kobujutsu, and Chugoku Kempo/Tai Chi Chuan.
Each of the martial arts considers the most important form of training to be Kata (Hsing in the Chinese pronunciation). Kempo, Karate, Karatejutsu, and Toidejutsu have multiple Kata, while the martial arts of Jujutsu and Aikijujutsu have one Kata. In Ninjutsu there are Kata of Koppo and Gogyo. In Tsung Shih Tai Chi Chuan/Inyoho Chugoku Kempo there are Hsing of Tai Chi, Pa Kua, and Hsing I. Each weapon is also practiced in the form of Kata.
In this volume there are examples of all the empty hand Kata and a few weapons Kata. These Kata are practiced in the original ancient manner of free style. There are perimeters regarding moves and principles expressed, but otherwise the practitioner is allowed to put the moves together extemporaneously.
The Shodai Soke (founding headmaster) of Kiyojute Ryu Kempo Bugei performs all the Kata in this volume. There is no substitute for an experienced teacher of any martial arts, but it is hoped that this volume on Kata will serve as a mnemonic aid is remembering all the Kata correctly., Kempo, Karate, Toidejutsu, Aikijujutsu, Ninjutsu, Jujutsu, William Durbin ~ Soke| 9781257448746 | 244PAGES
