This is the very first book of a series. This book represents the close relationships that cousins have and the excitement and fun that family can have together. Kay is the main character who travels to different states with her parents visiting her cousins making recipes from their families famous recipe book and doing what they love to do cook. Cass and Lena moved to Mississippi where they live on a farm and Kay is excited to see them again. So they decide that they are going to make one of the families recipe and in doing so something goes very wrong.
