Keep NEwcastle Weird (KNeW, pronounced ÒCÕn youÓ) is an occasional "arts and ideas" publication from the city of Newcastle, New South Wales, dedicated to the particular weirdness that gives Newcastle and the surrounding Hunter region its distinctive character. The contributions come in the form of fiction, non-fiction, ÒfactionÓ, poetry, painting, drawing, comics, and photography. The online version of the magazine also incorporates music and video. Whether poetic or political, silly or studious, the product of a long gestation or a moment of intense inspiration, the creations within the magazine are likely to be about, or to contribute to, the long history of weirdness in the region of Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast and Port Stephens.
