The Bar K Ranch in the vastly unsettled Wyoming Territory no longer faced the threat of Indian
attacks. Most had been rounded up and put on reservations. Now there was a much bigger threat
presented by marauding bands of former Civil War
soldiers and half breeds who found it easier to raid
settlers and plunder than to find honest work. Hunted by local lawmen, ranchers and cavalry units, these savage gangs posed a serious threat to folks who just wanted to live peacefully and hold together what they had worked so hard for. This is the continuing story of Tuffy Kennedy and his family as they faced the ever-present dangers
surrounding them.
