As Nelson Mandela once said, ÒThere is no passion to be found in playing small,Ó and the eight women writers of this book are playing anything but small. Collectively they are strong willed, eloquent, and dedicated to furthering their educational journeys. Most importantly, they are passionate about educating others on the subjects that are most important to them. These include post-partum depression, PTSD treatments for veterans, treating ADHD in our children, the safety of genetically modified foods, increasing HPV vaccination rates, early intervention for toddlers with autism, coping with the early death of a loved one, and victim-centered approaches to prosecuting domestic violence cases. Each of their lives has been affected by the subjects that they explore and, with this book, they hope to educate more people in a valiant effort to bring positive change to the world in which we live.
