In the first two volumes of the Ravensway trilogy, the young Australian hero Rick Scyld, recruited by the Banksia Witch, journeyed to the Second Plane to help bring about the defeat of the forces of Hrefn, and to restore ascendancy to the forces of LŽoht. In volume three, L’fmorth, the Quest reaches its climax. The external physical journey towards the confrontation with Hrefn and LŽoht is now also seen as an interior psychological and moral journey.
