Using over two hundred photographs and illustrations, this book tells the history of the four-cornered hamlet of LaFayette, New York. Once known as Pompey West Hill and later called LaFayette Square, it lies at the exact geographical center of New York State in equal distance on U.S. Route 20 between Albany and Buffalo. The collection was gathered over the course of fifty years by former town historian J.R. Dodge.
