LambertÕs Family Almanacks recorded annually events occurring during the first eighteen years of the twentieth century. The Almanack reached a circulation of around 10,000 and had become a household name by the turn of the century.
This book contains extracts from those entries for Framlingham, a small market town, which in the nineteenth century had a population of around 2,500 inhabitants. It is located almost twenty miles due north of Ipswich in East Suffolk.
The first LambertÕs Family Almanack appeared in November 1856 for the year 1857 and continued to be published until the title year of 1917.
It contains the birth and deaths and obituaries of many of it citizens; Trade Directories and Lists of Officials; Retrospects on Agriculture, Social, Church & Chapel and Commerce; Weather; Miscellany and Noteworthy events.
