This autobiographical story identifies and explains in a satirical sort of way some of the times and tribulations as seen through the eyes of the author, Paul K.B. Mercer, who at the grand old age of 15 years was signed into the Royal Air Force, to do fourteen and a half years' military service by his father, who for whatever reason, insane or otherwise, thought it would be a good idea.
