This book is a scanned reproduction of Sim Moak's original book published in 1923. In it, he provides an account of pioneer life in Northern California, with stories of Indian conflicts, anti-Chinese activities, stagecoach robberies and lynchings. Included is a brief history of the Moak family in Northern California from 1853 to 1928.
