Author Janice Tait grew up with her sister Carol in the city of Brantford during the Second World War. After university, she lived abroad for some years as the wife of a Canadian diplomat. Upon her divorce she struggled to find new life and reconnected with her sister whose love and support sustained her. CarolÕs death from cancer challenged her to recreate herself again.
