After a challenging childhood I thought the worst was over until 2015. When relocating to Kansas City, I was forced to face my own demons and put on a strong front for my two children. I had to be strong for my youngest child, who was fighting for her life. She finally received a new kidney in February 2020 after nearly three and half years of waiting.
