Claude Zenatti published his memoir in June, 2016: Part I recounts his family background and childhood up to age 11 in Paris with Nazi GermanyÕs invasion of France June, 1940. Here in Part II he recounts his story and gives homage to the people who helped his family survive the terrible four long years from 1940 to 1944 during the Second World War. Part III continues after the war, his young adulthood, studying to become a Doctor of Ophthalmology, marriage to the gifted Modernist painter Josette Zenatti, and their family.
I am indebted to both Dr. Zenatti and his sister Arlette Zenatti for their kindness and willingness to share their story, for providing testimony to Yad Vashem, the holocaust memorial in Jerusalem to honor CŽline Morali, my maternal grandmother.
