Based on the true story of an English woman living in Wisconsin,in 1928, who has a relationship with a Cherokee Indian; who also happens to be a Christian preacher with his own radio show. Trying to build bridges between the White and Indian communities, Lone Star upsets the power companies who are exploiting his people. Jennifer Wilkins and her family have to bear the consequences of befriending the enigmatic Cherokee preacher, and difficult choices have to be made about loyalty and love.
