Lensless is a series of pinhole photograph collections shot in and around Pittsburgh from 2003 to 2011. The first in this series, ÒWashington & Jefferson College,Ó turns its attention to the unseen inside pinhole cameras. Each image becomes part of a study in the focusing characteristics of light and how light refracts. Where our eyesÕ physiology causes us to see light reflecting off objects in one particular way, we can use pinhole cameras to see ÒunseenÓ sitesÑinfinite depths of field and light waves that appear to bend and refract in untypical ways.
