John E. Tidball's independently published translations of Baudelaire's poetry have received much critical acclaim since they were first published in 2014. Now available exclusively from the Lulu bookstore, this deluxe linen-bound hardback edition of Baudelaire's 'Les Fleurs du mal' contains all of the poems from the 1861 edition, as well as those of 'Les Epaves' (published in Belgium in 1866 and containing the six banned pieces). Also included in this comprehensive edition are the poems that were not included in either of those editions, but were published posthumously in 1868. The French texts are accompanied by facing-page translations in English verse. A selection of colour and monochrome illustrations from several early editions of 'Les Fleurs du mal' complement this unique collector's edition.
