This is the second edition of "Letters from Greenland". It is published in a larger format for better readability. It is a glimpse into what three years of serving in Greenland during WWII was like for a soldier away from home and family for the first time. Unable to write home about daily military life, due to censorship, Bruce filled his letters with his thoughts, feelings, memories, and dreams for the future. Cousins, Lindy and Dick Minnick, collaborated to transcribe these letters into a book complete with old family photos and descriptions to illustrate the people and events about which their uncle wrote. This is book one of a two-part memoir on the life of Bruce Morrill Minnick. Book two, "Letters from Belize: Experiment in Freedom", chronicles the last thirty years of his life (through letters to his brother, John) in the rainforest of Belize, content to be a subsistence farmer in tropical splendor.
