Shabkar was a Tibetan Buddhist yogi who lived over 200 years ago. He compsoed an autobiography which described his realizations and wisdom in the form of hundreds of inspiring spiritual poems. The spiritual life of Shabkar bears a striking similarity to that of Milarepa who lived hundreds of years before. ShabkarÕs life was that of a wandering hermit which drew inspiration from visiting TibetÕs numerous Buddhist holy sites.
