Down on Earth, the Cold War draws to a close, and a new spirit of cooperation is evident as two scholars, one American and one Russian, arrive at the Catatumbo Weather Research Station on Lake Maracaibo, the lightning strike capital of the world.
But Eliana Ynciarte, the seventeen-year- old daughter of the scientist in charge of the station, begins to wonder what their two visitors are really there for, and when she tries to find out, her investigation leads her to a discovery in the jungle that could forever change not only her fatherÕs research, but world history.
