What you are about to read is an interview with EYE that was done in
August 2006, and published a few weeks later in the 8th issue of OK
FRED magazine. After the publication of this interview, we received
quite a few responses, even some interest from overseas medias in
re-publishing it. We declined, thinking that one day we would love to
publish it in English ourselves.
When I first had the idea of doing this interview with EYE, I asked
him directly and he declined. I asked again and again with him always
declining, until finally he suddenly asked me to come to his place on
the following day. I took a bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka, some
more trains, and then we went up and down a grassy mountain in his car
to finally reach his house. The interview is the outcome of this.
