David and Megan Hendrickson travel to Washington's Olympic National Park with their parents Amy and Eli. As a young adventurous boy, David naturally suggests a family hiking trip right away. However, being patient does not come easily and he soon persuades his younger sister Meg (as he calls her) to accompany him on a short walk by themselves. as you can imagine, things do not go well.
Soon a whole team of persistent rangers are out searching for them, but one eager to help intern has a different approach to the search.
Out under the sky, Megan and David struggle between faith and doubt. Are they doomed, or are they not? Maybe what they think is happening for one reason could really be happening for another.
