This is an edited collection of Janice Windle's small sketchbooks, compiled on her visits to the beautiful Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Pompeii. These little paintings are individual and original, colourful and full of life and love - of the sun, and the clear light that bathes the flower-lined roads, the mountains and the beaches along this coast.
This is not a tourist guide, but one artist's experience of summers spent in a region that's next to Paradise. Alongside the pictures are short poems and haiku, for like so many artists and writers before her, the author has been inspired to celebrate the clear light, the fun-loving people, the incredibly blue sea and the historical sites of Italy, in images and words.
