The story of Luella Sharp Byrne. Born in 1901 in Heber City, Utah where she lived the first eleven years of her life. Luella's family moved to the high plains of Southwestern Wyoming where she eventually married and started her own family.
Her history is intertwined with great historical events. Her marriage at the end of World War I; The start of her own family in the years building to World War II where her son fought in the European theater in the latter part of that war. While the World was in turmoil in the early 1940's, so was the small town of Piedmont, Wyoming where Luella had lived since her marriage in 1919. Now a ghost town, Piedmont was forever changed when the railroad bypassed the town. So too, was Luella's life.
