This recipe book is a collection of "recipes" taken from the notes and recipe box of Mary McClain, a Mississippi homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and delightful cook. Some "recipes" consists merely of lists and the reader must guess what is being made. There is an occasional personal comment that gives insight into Mary's personality and thoughts about the recipe.
