Mastering Mindfulness is an interactive course that addresses how our eating, environment, and thinking have an impact on our overall health and life satisfaction. We will be developing mindfulness skills to non-judgmentally explore why, what, how, when, and with whom we eat. In addition, we will dive into strategies related to our eating habits, cravings, and food choices. Developing a healthy relationship with food is the foundation of our physical, mental, and emotional health. There will also be an emphasis on the benefits of healthy eating and how to properly fuel the body using science-backed nutrition information. We will also uncover the environmental influences on our food choices that lead to overeating and sabotaging behaviors. This is not a weight reduction program but rather an opportunity to provoke more self-awareness of habits and work toward a balanced relationship with food. This academic course is intended to create more mindful eating, living, and self-talk.
