After being diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma, Meggie, a nine-year old golden retriever, was given a life expectancy of 6-8 months. She went on to live another two and a half years without her cancer returning. She became an ambassador for helping people understand that not only are dogs affected by this disease, they can teach us all something about the courage and determination to keep living. With simple language and easy definitions, Meggie's story is intended for children, specifically those whose dog has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment.
