The third annual AIA Milwaukee emerging professionals design competition, Menomonee Valley Gateway,
focused upon a neglected and underutilized parcel of land bordered by two of MilwaukeeÕs three rivers at
the western-most point of the Menomonee Valley neighborhood. The competition examined how to reinsert
the land into the fabric of the city and utilize the adjacent waterways, which have separated it and led
to its neglection.
