John Willy alias Archerd was the founder of the Archerd family in the United States. His parents were Thomas & Jane Willy of Middle Lambrook, a tiny village in the Parish of Kingsbury Episcopi in Somerset, England. John emigrated to America in the late 1790's. Descendants of his brothers and sisters settled in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
