2020-2021 was challenging for so many complicated reasons. Regular daily stresses had been compounded by sickness, violence, and societal unrest. I cannot fathom what people without faith in God lean on in such times of utter chaos. Even for the faithful, life is often difficult and worrisome. However, GodÕs promises of fidelity abound throughout scripture, and if one looks and listens intently, His embrace is not ever far from anyone. In triumph and tragedy, God is with us. So, whether hiking a mountain peak or a metaphor for life, let us persevere onward and upward!
