This monograph focuses on migrant workers and their productivity following the opening of the European UnionÕs borders in 2004. Since then there has been a large increase in Eastern European migrant workers arriving in the UK, these migrant workers have become a significant part of the UK workforce. The monograph indicates manufacturing companies should implement relevant strategic human resources (HR) and a fully integrated managerial policy should be implemented to achieve higher corporate productivity, thereby converging effectively and efficiently these new sources of migrant labour.
