If you are in the Army and looking for a way to keep up with the high OPTEMPO of your job, this is the journal for you. Everyone has heard it said ÒYou should always have a notebook and pen on you in uniform.Ó But if you never use it, or if the content you put in it is just lost the second you close your book, what good is it? ItÕs not. ItÕs a formality. I started this method in 2017 as a Specialist (E4). I combined ideas I had found on the internet and books and developed this ÒspreadÓ so I could be a more effective leader, mentor and follower. If youÕre like me, I used the traditional green notebook for years and oftentimes found myself wondering: Òwhere did I put the notes from that meeting?Ó or Òwhen was that training supposed to be?Ó or Òdid I complete this or does it still need to be done?Ó This book will help you answer all those questions (if done right) and will enable you to keep track of everything you need to be successful and efficient whether in garrison or deployed. Believe it or not, I used a ruler to draw all of these lines in my original notebook (I still do). Many people told me they were impressed in the way that I keep track of everything in my book and that they wanted to copy it. Usually after a week of trying, they would give up and tell me they canÕt draw straight lines, or itÕs too much work to make all the lines in their book (which I completely understand). I want more Soldiers to benefit from this style of productivity, so I built this book to alleviate any hassle of you having to draw lines or anxiously search for notes you took weeks ago. All you have to do is follow this simple method and watch your productivity excel. I am confident that this book will help you as a Soldier, NCO or Officer. All you have to do is give it a chance.
