This book is a personalized adaptation and expansion of the Episcopal Church's 1977 book for the Ministration to the Sick, updated by a priest with more than forty years experience of such ministry. It includes a wider selection of prayers and Scriptural lessons than that found in the 1977 version, and adapts the services so that they are more logical, easier to follow and to use, and more pastoral than that version. There are also separate entries for celebrating a simple Mass, Thanksgiving for the Birth of a Child during a hospital visit, the Reconciliation of a Penitent, Emergency Baptism, a special order for Administering the Last Rites, and Ministration at the Time of Death. The book is illustrated with attractive pen and ink renderings from a book long out-of-print.
