Mist of time is a sequel to Sailing in the Sky. Three children Taras, Oles and Kathrynn enter a strange door in their potting shed which turns out to be a portal into the mist of time. In the mist of time they encounter a great giant who is time itself. He tries not to be observed for observation of anything in the mists of time causes it to be altered like everything in the quantum realm. The three children then get a brief glimpse at the true nature of time before suddenly teleporting back home.
Mist of Time is a great introduction into the basic concepts of quantum physics presented as a short science fiction story involving a macroscopic world where everything is governed by the laws of quantum mechanics.
