It is a monothematic work based on a very popular Nigerian folksong that eulogizes the virtues of motherhood. In the text of the song, Nigerian children are reminded that their mothers are so precious that they cannot be bought with money. The mother is pregnant for nine months and carries her child on her back for three years as practiced in traditional culture. Indeed, mothers are more precious than gold. The creative process of this masterpiece extends the principal theme by diverse forms of variations at different registers of the instrument to add shades of color and mitigate the boredom of repetition.
