It has been said that as gentlemen get older they spend increasing amounts of time simply sitting and mulling. The author has found this to be so in his case. Here, then, are a few of the thoughts he has had while sitting in his armchair or on park benches. Some mulls are quite serious, a few are less so. Altogether these form a miscellany suitable perhaps for a bathroom shelf.
