I do seem to have combined my paternal great-grandfather WrightÕs passion for genealogical research with my maternal great-grandmother CassellÕs penchant for writing down and preserving every scrap of evidence of the same Ð all the loot accumulated from various generations and branches of her family she could possibly cram into her house and barn Ð and these two inherited gifts have caused this book. Totalled together, the three of us have labored for over one hundred years to present this story in a somewhat coherent form. It is your task (hopefully an enjoyable one) to read it. As the French say, Ôbon courage!
