MY BLUEGRASS ROOTS is a story of my ancestors that go back to when they began arriving onto the shores of North America in the 1600s. The reader will get a glimpse of what life was like for them as they moved down through Virginia from Pennsylvania to North Carolina; then hacking their way into the dense forest wilderness, amid the lurking danger of the savage redskins and facing great difficulties, to seed the virgin bluegrass land of Kentucky, where I grew up.
