My uncle Ben returns from a visit to Holland around 1965, bringing back photos and home movies. Mom comments on feelings she had watching them.
Then she talks about some of things that happened as time went on, mostly routine things but interesting family history.
My brother Pete was shipped off to the Vietnam war. A little later my cousin John was shipped off too.
My cousin Judy, Johns sister dies about this time, She was about 14 years old.
Mom talks about going through a very deep depression. She started working cleaning homes, and enjoyed it. The job included someone to talk to. It seemed some of the ladies appreciated someone to talk to as well. After a while she was able to come out of the depression.
My Aunt Heidi dies. Mom helped my Uncle Jacques afterward.
A little later on she meets Alton Beebe and tells the whole story of how that happened. The story ends here, happily married to Alton Beebe. The time period she stopped writing this volume seems to me about the mid 1970Õs or so.
