While this is my grandfatherÕs true-life story it reads like a fictional adventure blended together with a reality TV series. Every time I read this story I learn more about this amazing man and the incredible era he inhabited. This is an American immigrant story that unfolded in one of the most beautiful and historically rich places in the world Ð Cannery Row. I plan to publish future versions of this story but I first wanted to publish his original words.
I am the third person to touch this story. Nanno lived it and wrote it. My mom, Mary-Ann typed it out and gave us grandchildren hard copies. I scanned my hard copy into the computer and have published it on-line. As an ongoing project I plan to further develop this story for readers beyond our family. I hope my kids, nephews and nieces and their kids will find this as valuable as we have. Enjoy.
