The National Black Law Journal (NBLJ) has been committed to scholarly dis- course exploring race and the law since 1970, when five Black law students and two Black law professors formed the journal in the wake of the Civil Rights Movement. NBLJ was the first journal in the country dedicated to studying the intersection of law and race.
