New Kai Tak Urban Design Studio was the first master-level urban design studio course in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. Students were asked to consider interdisciplinary contexts in the discipline of urban design and planning and propose an urban design and planning idea by creative and critical approaches.
This book is the beginning of urban design series in the DESIGN LAB - Laboratory of Architectural and Urban Design. Although suggested proposal are conceptual ideas, these innovative and creative ideas will be a foundation and reference for students and people who would like to identify essential elements in urban design and new development.
