What is it like to be a black police officer in America? How do we as African American officers serve our communities that, in many ways, hate us? What does it feel like to be distrusted by the very culture you came from? And how can we address the hatred of those in policing who donÕt want us involved in law enforcement?
Many of those answers will be revealed in what I have endured and documented as an African America police officer with 30 years of service. The material in this memoir is inspired by true events, supported by court cases, police files, newspaper articles, various documents and personal recollections.
