After learning of her husband's infidelity Aretha Stokes catches the first flight out of Flint, Michigan. She heads to San Francisco, California to stay with her sister in an attempt at regaining some semblance of the former self she seems to have lost along with her marriage.
While in California, Aretha in thrown into several emotionally charged situations which forces her to take a more active role in the things that happen in her life.
Spending time with family, meeting new friends and the possibility of a romantic relatoinship are just a few of the benefits that California provides. But Aretha still has to decide if this is the life she wants to live or if sheÕll return home to Michigan and attempt to salvage her estranged marriage.
