Northern Diamonds is a collection of images of ball fields in Atlantic Canada. Taken over a period of five years with visits to over fifty individual fields, each ball field has a unique location and surrounding landscape. They share common design elements Ð backstops, bases, dugouts, lines, circles and diamonds, in these highly ritualized spaces, which are often found, given the local geography, near the ocean. Their unchanging characteristics make them important touchstones in our ever-changing world.
