This Clarinet Choir orchestration of HŠndelÕs Oboe Concerto in G Minor was prompted by a solo performance at the University of Nebraska in 1958 by Ray Still (1920-2014), principal oboist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for public concert with the University of Nebraska Symphonic Band early in his career as professional oboist. Orchestrator Assoc. Band Director R. Jack Snyder made the Clarinet Choir orchestration for 3 Bb Soprano Clarinets, Eb Alto Clarinet and Bb Bass Clarinet. Score and parts w/ added solo line are presented here revised and edited, making it available to the general music world for the first time since StillÕs performance in 1958. This Clarinet Choir score presents a unique contrast in timbre to the original score for strings and continuo published back in the early 18th c.
