There are many special places I have visited many times over the years that seem to have as strong an impact as if it were my first visit. In part this reoccurring Òfirst-timeÓ experience has as much to do with details revealed that went unnoticed on previous visits. The collection of photographic images is a record of what I experienced this spring for the first time of places I have seen on numerous previous visits.
The West Coast Field Trip is an annual spring tradition begun in 1969 by the Louisiana State University Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture. Students from all years of the Bachelor and Master degree programs participated in the ten-day itinerary experiencing the breath of the profession in urban and natural locations. For me the West Coast Field Trip of 2016 was as if it were my first visit to AmericaÕs West.
