This story was inspired by a visit to New Orleans, where the author enjoyed all the sites therein while munching beignets and observing the plight of horses and mules used in the tourist carriage trade.
The author, a retired childrenÕs librarian, spent many years reading to children. She now enjoys writing for them, including her six (soon to be nine) great grandchildren. She lives with her husband Bob and cat, Ringo, in Gilbert, Arizona.
