On Womanly Simplicity was written by Wilhelm Loehe
in 1853. He dedicated the work to his daughter, Marianne,
who never got to grow up with her mother, Helen. Thus,
her father sought to provide an example for her in Helen's
absence. This booklet follows how a godly woman ought
to live a Christian life Ñ married or single.

This booklet was later used in the training up of
deaconesses at the Neuendettelsau Deaconess Institute
founded by Loehe himself. This is a necessary text for all
women studying for the role of deaconess.

It is also a great study on the Order of Creation and a Lutheran view on Mary.
