An orphaned and troubled young man discovers a past he never knew, a present he was seeking and a future he never thought possible, through a series of encounters with an old man during an Outer Banks vacation he never wanted. From the vacation he becomes aware of his true self and that of those around him. He becomes aware that his weaknesses can be his strengths and that anyone can create opportunities where previously none seemed to exist. He finds that life is an endless series of choices where all choices- good and bad- can lead to a happier and more contented life.
