Jim Sims grew up in the tiny town of Seaton, Illinois, with fewer than 300 residents. Born in 1937, his mother died before his second birthday, just two weeks after the birth of Jim's little brother. Along with three older brothers and an older sister, the six kids were raised by a stern, hard-working father and an unsteady string of visiting relatives and housekeepers. In this book, Jim relates his memories, including dozens of photos of family, friends, church, schools, jobs, and life in Seaton before he married and left Illinois at the age of 23.
